blogs to books

>> Friday, April 10, 2009

so my friend britnee told me about this great site called blurb.com where you can turn your blogs into books. so, i went on and made a 2006 and 2007 book (currently working on 2008), and realized what a priceless things blogs are.

i know a lot of people consider blogs their "online journals," and i have never felt that to be the case for me since i have journals for myself and each of the boys. well, i came to the sad conclusion that i have not written in my own journal for more than a year and it has been several months since writing in the boys. soooooo, to make a long story short, although i am not a wonder with words, my blog HAS become somewhat of a family journal for us.

so, i renew my commitment to update this bad boy once a week. i really want to. i am going to. most of the time.

HAPPY EASTER to everyone and have LOTS of chocolate this weekend (isaac did)!

Hey! I have a question about the blurb books. I have heard about them too. Is it way hard to get them printed if you have all your pictures resized? Do you have to have the original size picture to print? anyway silly question just had heard that. Holy moly 66 days to go it is coming!

I've heard about blurb too... How is the quality? Starting the kids early on the chocolate huh? :) I think the sugar rush never stops around here. Good luck with your resolution to update the blog!

P.S. Second on that question from Lindsay about resizing pics.

hey jen and lindsay...i saw my friend's book and the quality is really pretty good for a decent price.

yeah, i resized all of the pics on my blog, so if i wanted to enlarge any of them in the book, i needed to pull my originals into the book making program (super easy and fast). but, if i kept them smaller (a lot of pics on a page), i could keep the resized pics. the program tells you if the resolution isn't high enough.

Jean, can you bring your printed one in to church sometime to see. I'd love to see how they turn out. Thanks.
