So, my baby turned one last Thursday. PLEASE tell me there are others who have had a super hard time seeing their baby grow up. I never thought I would be one of THOSE people. With Kaleb and Barrett, I was always excited for the next step or development. Uh uh...not with Isaac. He is my baby and I want him to stay that way.

Ok...can't handle the sadness...let's get to the fun. We didn't do a big birthday for him...I'll save those for when he can actually remember them :) But, I will tell you that he LOVED his cake...just look at the hand shoving action...

And last, we discovered last week that Isaac's top teeth were popping through. I am well aware that this is NOT a flattering picture of our child, but I had to share and giggle. WE HAVE A BABY VAMPIRE (any Twilight fans out there will appreciate that)!!!

Oh my gosh... I have issues every day with my baby! I love to see her also develop, but I think I have had enough. I know what is to come, and I am not ready or it! His teeth came in just like Noras dad. She was my trailer trash baby for a minute. I love the picture of the icing on his toes. What a doll baby! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Isaac!

Jean I have the same issues with Kate she will be one in a week. I can't even think about planning her party because we still call her baby Kate and I don't want to change it!

I can see why you're sentimental Jean, he's such a mamma's boy. That kid has mom radar like I've never seen :). You're such a good mom, so it's no surprise you two are crazy about each other! I love the pictures... especially the teeth!

There is no way that your sweet baby is already one!! I am right there with you...can't stand seeing our babies grow up. I just love their sweet tininess...so, I am probably not really helping here...except to say, that you are not alone!

Babies are such a catch 22. It is so fun to watch them grow and learn new things...and then they are not babies anymore.

I love the teeth. He would make a great first-grader.

I love the vampire shot. I also love it when they go for the cake. I think it is because I secretly wish that I could have my own cake on my birthday that everyone expected me to eat with my bare hands and if I liked I could put my feet in it. Oh to be one again.

Do you remember that is how Hallie's teeth came in? I love it! I'm having a very hard time with Emerie even turning nine months. Cute pictures, by the way, but the teeth one is definitely my favorite. Twilight...holla!!!

Wow, Happy Birthday to Isaac. It is crazy that our little boys are one already! Not to worry, I am sure Isaac will turn out to be as handsome as Edward... Or maybe he is really a werewolf in disguise...

Jean, vampire babies are the best! He could be a vampire bat for Halloween, without the dentures.

WOW! He's one! I can't even believe that. I guess I should, since our little Isaac is 7 months already. I agree with your feelings on not wanting your baby to grow up. I was excited for Morgan and Caleb to grow, but my little Isaac seems like he should still be a little baby. Must be a 3rd child thing! My nephews had their side teeth come in before their front too; looks kinda spooky, but makes a really funny picture! Little Isaac is adorable!

Sorry about the typos. It bugs me that there isn't spell check on leaving comments. And once I post a comment, I can't go and edit it. that was why I erased my first comment.

Jean, I'm a friend of Kirstynn's and I have to say that I absolutely LOVE your photography work! I am trying my hand in photography, but still feel very new, like I'm just starting out. Your images are so bright and crisp. Do you mind sharing what kind of equipment you use? Your work is AMAZING!

I just laughed at that last picture. How cute! As I said on my blog, Ethan loved his cake too, but only after I put the first bite in his mouth. It is hard to do a small anything here. You have to invite everyone! Of course we had a blast, but small is nice too. I empathize with you. It has been much harder seeing Ethan grow older. My mom keeps telling me that he needs to get his hair cut because he isn't a baby anymore but I refuse because I want to hold on to his babyness!

Hi! So I can't believe I haven't commented on this yet. I read it in my 'reader' and you know you can't comment from there. Anyway, Cute little Isaac! What an absolute doll. I can't believe he is one...he is just too little to be one. Doesn't her realize that he is not allowed to grow up??

We are not only Twilight fans, but teeth lovers in general here at our house (for obvious reasons)! Love the pic of Isaac.

If you are mourning Isaac turning one, then wait until he graduates from high school. It is not for the faint of heart. The vampire is a classic! Cute pictures. How is Detroit?

Oh, I love that!! My niece's top teeth came in just like that. Isaac is so adorable. I love the pictures you have of him!! so cute! Can I eat him?
