ok, so i logged into blogspot to make a new post and noticed a few things.
- my poor family blog has once again been neglected (almost a month since my last post).
- i looked at my blog and realized how pathetically boring it looks.
i go to everyone else's blog and see patterned backdgrounds, polls, slideshows, pictures on the sides, etc. i have always been more into the simple side of design, but gosh dang it, i want to learn some of these cool tricks! can anyone give me tips? i'm not sure where to start...

Come on Jean, get with the program :) It is just because you are so busy! In blogger you can add lots of different elements. Or, if you see one you like on someone else's blog you can usually find a link at the bottom of it to do your own.
YOu can use cutestblogontheblock.com or go to aquapoppydesigns.com both have cute backgrounds. The slideshows are from slide.com For pics on the side just go to customize and you can add elements. I think it's mostly just taking the time to do it and learning as you go. I still want to add music to mine and keep forgetting. But Jean, no way are you a blogging slacker! Hello...you are a crazy busy woman keeping up with your photography blog is enough...I look at it all the time...love it!

Pyzam.com has blogger layouts and fun little pictures or widgets to add, but they delete stuff so it can stink!

Don't give in!! The white background looks great with all the photos! Don't download those over decorated backgrounds that give people headaches when they look at it!
